Titans GM Mike Borgonzi’s pre-draft comments are begging for No. 4 trade offers

The Tennessee Titans could be a team to watch during the 2026 NFL Draft. Tennessee enters the draft with nine total selections, including the fourth overall pick. The Titans could be open to trading down in the draft based on recent comments from the team’s general manager.

Titans GM Mike Borgonzi spoke with the media on Thursday just one week before the draft. Borgnozi’s comment seem to suggest that Tennessee would entertain trade offers for the fourth overall pick.

“We’re gonna remain flexible and fluid because I do think there’s a handful of players we really do like at four,” Borgonzi said when asked about possibly trading down.

Borgonzi repeatedly talked about liking “a cluster of players” who could be available at fourth overall. He used that answer when asked directly if he views Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love as worthy of a top five selection.

If the Titans are not sold on Love, then trading down could make a lot of sense. Especially at such an early stage in their rebuild.

ESPN’s Bill Barnwell even urged the Titans to trade down in a recent article.

“The Titans understandably want to surround quarterback Cam Ward with premium talent at No. 4, but this roster is riddled with holes or short-term free agent patches,” Barnwell wrote. “If the Titans can move down into the bottom half of the top 10 and pick up another second-round pick, that’s a move general manager Mike Borgonzi should seriously consider. Tennessee simply has too many issues to fix throughout its roster to focus on adding one particular player early in the draft.”

It will be exciting to see which path Tennessee picks during the first round of the draft on April 23rd.
