Rams fans roast ‘new’ uniforms: ‘Are these not the same?’

The Los Angeles Rams finally unveiled their updated uniforms and logos on Thursday, but a chunk of the fanbase quickly turned the reveal into a roast session online.

For months, Rams fans had waited to see what the franchise would do with a look that has drawn mixed reactions since 2020. The team’s latest changes centered more on refinement than reinvention. The primary “LA” logo dropped its gradient in favor of a solid yellow finish and now features a sharper point. The ram head logo also got a tougher makeover, with a more pointed horn, yellow eyes, and a more aggressive feel.

That subtle approach did not land with everyone.

One fan wrote on X, “Starting to think the league has banned teams from having any type of modernized uniforms.” Another piled on by joking, “Only getting older and worse, like your 2026 W-L record.” Others compared the old and new designs with the classic Spider-Man pointing meme, while one bluntly asked, “Are these genuinely not the same things?”

Are these genuinely not the same things?

What Changed With the Rams’ Look

The uniforms themselves also saw modest tweaks. The royal blue jerseys no longer feature gradient numbers, replacing them with solid yellow digits on both sides, Ramswire reports. The pants lost their gradient detail as well, while the sleeve horn now curls at the end. A solid yellow “LA” tag now sits on the back of the jersey.

The Rams also introduced primary white pants, giving them the option to roll out an all-white combination. The helmets stayed mostly intact, though they now include a new 3D wordmark on the front.

The result felt cleaner, but for plenty of fans, not different enough.
