A lot of people expected the New York Jets to make a trade during the 2026 NFL Draft, but not many expected them to end up with three first-round picks. Aaron Glenn could not be much happier than ending Day One with David Bailey, Kenyon Sadiq and Omar Cooper Jr. on his roster.
Bailey, Sadiq and Cooper are inherently different players, but Glenn sees one similarity in each of them that he admires. As a second-year head coach attempting to rebuild a struggling organization, Glenn said he values each of his first-round prospects coming from “winning programs.”
“Here’s what’s also critical of those three players,” Glenn said, via SNY. “They come from winning programs. When you get a chance to bring that into your locker room, it speaks volumes… All those guys have done something in their careers that either won the game [or] they take over a game, but they come from winning programs. That was huge to be able to get guys like that.”

Bailey, Sadiq and Cooper were each on College Football Playoff teams in 2025 at Texas Tech, Oregon and Indiana, respectively. Cooper put up a team-high 71 receiving yards in the National Championship Game to help the Hoosiers win their first-ever CFP title.
The Jets made Bailey the No. 2 overall pick after finally making up their minds by choosing him over Arvell Reese. They took Sadiq at No. 16 before trading up and taking the San Francisco 49ers’ pick, which they used on Cooper at No. 30.
The Jets still have five more picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, though just one on Day Two. They appear to be done making moves, but it could be anyone’s guess at this point.
