The Buffalo Bills are projected to target a wide receiver early in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft after executing three trades during Thursday night’s opening round in Pittsburgh.
ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller released an updated mock draft Friday, linking Buffalo to Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston with the No. 35 overall pick.
“35. Buffalo Bills (from TEN)
Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
Boston was considered a potential target for Buffalo in Round 1 if the team stayed at No. 26. The big-bodied wide receiver is exactly what Josh Allen needs in the red zone as a complement for DJ Moore and Khalil Shakir.”
Boston, a 6-foot-4, 22-year-old prospect, is coming off his final collegiate season with the Washington Huskies in 2025. He recorded 881 receiving yards on 62 receptions, averaging 14.2 yards per catch while scoring 11 touchdowns. He also contributed in multiple phases, adding a rushing touchdown and completing a pass for a score.
Bills stockpile draft capital after three first-round trades, eye Denzel Boston on Day 2
Buffalo’s positioning at No. 35 came after an active first round that saw the team move down multiple times. The Bills initially traded the No. 26 overall pick to the Houston Texans, sliding back to No. 28 while acquiring additional third- and fifth-round selections. Houston used the pick to select Georgia Tech guard Keylan Rutledge.
The Bills then dealt the No. 28 pick to the New England Patriots, moving down to No. 31 and adding a fourth-round pick. New England selected Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu.
Buffalo ultimately traded out of the first round entirely, sending the No. 31 pick to the Tennessee Titans. In return, the Bills received picks No. 35, No. 66 and No. 101. Tennessee used the selection to draft Auburn edge rusher Keldric Faulk.
With additional draft capital secured, Buffalo enters Day 2 positioned to address offensive needs, including adding another weapon for quarterback Josh Allen.
Round 2 of the draft begins at 7 p.m. ET on NFL Network, ABC and ESPN.
