The Seattle Seahawks used their first-round pick on former Notre Dame Fighting Irish running back Jadarian Price. While he’s the man to replace Kenneth Walker III and team up with Zach Charbonnet in the backfield, Price received incredibly high praise from his former high school coach after being picked by Seattle.
While guest appearing on 93.3 KJR, a Seattle sports-based radio show, Jadarian Price’s high school coach revealed that the 22-year-old running back graduated early to attend Notre Dame even sooner. His former coach also claimed that Price is “the most honorable man” he’s coached in his career.
“He’s the most honorable man I’ve ever coached,” said Price’s high school coach. “He did (it) all, and he did with honor.”
Upon receiving the call from the organization, Price showed how happy he was to achieve his dreams. It was an emotional conversation with the Seahawks’ brass, as the former redshirt junior expressed how excited he is to play for the franchise while surrounded by friends and family.

Jadarian Price is used to sharing the backfield, as he played second fiddle at Notre Dame behind ex-teammate Jeremiyah Love. But Price was a worthy option for the Fighting Irish during his three-year tenure. Although he never surpassed the 1,000-yard mark, Price proved to be wildly consistent, averaging 6.0 yards per attempt throughout his collegiate career.
He finished his time in college with 41 games under his belt, recording a total of 1,692 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. He also added an additional three scores through the air, two of which came in the 2025-26 campaign.
With Charbonnet recovering from a right torn ACL he suffered in January, Price seems to be in line to get some early looks for the Seahawks once the 2026-27 season begins. However, Seattle does expect Charbonnet to eventually return from the injury at some point during the campaign.
