Fans roast Patriots for NFL Draft flex amid Mike Vrabel controversy

The 2026 NFL Draft has finally arrived, yet all fans want to talk about is the drama between New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and former NFL insider Dianna Russini. The latest scandal could not have come at a worse time, and fans can sense the Patriots’ desperation.

Amid all the noise, New England released a walkthrough video showcasing their new NFL Draft war room. Fans saw right through the ploy and let the team hear it in the comments.

“How many times do you think Vrabel was texting Russini here all happy and s*** lmao.”

“Hey everyone,” one fan commented. “Ignore those new photos of our head coach’s 6-year affair. Look at our new draft room! Remember that you pulled this to cover for your serial cheater of a head coach the next time you crow about accountability culture and people stepping up to be counted.”

“Pats admin pressing send, knowing what is coming in the comment section.”

“Vrabel’s a little busy.”

“Does it come with a special reporter for Vrabel? Is his son Mike going to be there?”

The Patriots continue to stand by Vrabel, at least for now. The latest developments cannot be making conversations in their new draft room any less awkward.

The Vrabel-Russini scandal got worse on Thursday morning when the New York Post released a photo of the two kissing at a bar in 2020. The head coach and the recently resigned reporter initially claimed that the affair rumors was nothing but social media chatter. Vrabel is now saying he will miss Day Three of the NFL Draft to attend counseling.

New England will not be on the clock until pick No. 31, the penultimate selection of Day One. The Patriots have two picks on Day Two and their remaining eight selections on Day Three.
