All the 40s have been run, the final mocks have been posted, and now the 2026 NFL Draft is upon us. It’s one of the best times of the year, as hope springs eternal for all 31 teams chasing the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. This year’s draft is an intriguing one. Fernando Mendoza is the only surefire first-round quarterback and also the only player we know for sure is going to a specific team. Starting with the New York Jets at pick No. 2—deciding between Arvell Reese and David Bailey—the rest of the first round and beyond are a complete unknown at this point.
There has been a lot of talk about this being a weak draft class. And with only one QB at the top and fewer than 20 players with traditional first-round grades, that is true to a certain extent. However, there are some deep position groups here and quite a few prospects who excel in one specific area. That means your team could get a future star on Day 3 almost as easily as it can on Thursday night.
Regardless of the relative strength of this class, the 2026 NFL Draft will be what the draft always is: A fascinating and exciting study of team building, strategy, fan hope, and Mel Kiper Jr.’s hair.
