Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant voiced strong opposition to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ decision to make Travis Hunter a full-time cornerback for the 2026 NFL season, arguing the move limits his impact as a playmaker.
Bryant shared his reaction on X, formerly known as Twitter, shortly after the Jaguars finalized Hunter’s role in the secondary.
“He’s too great of a playmaker to be a corner!” Bryant wrote.
The Jaguars’ decision marks a significant shift for Hunter, who entered the league as a rare two-way prospect capable of contributing at both wide receiver and cornerback. During his rookie season, the 22-year-old saw time on both sides of the ball across seven games.
