The Baltimore Ravens are getting prepared for the draft, and there is probably a list of prospects they have on their radar. They’re able to get a closer look at some of the players with pre-draft visits, and they plan on hosting wide receiver Denzel Boston, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
“Washington WR Denzel Boston, who has been on a bit of a tour, is with the Ravens today after spending time with the Panthers yesterday,” Rapoport wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
There’s no surprise that the Ravens are looking at wide receivers in this draft, as that’s been one area where they haven’t had much talent. Boston is projected to go in the first round, and if the Ravens feel like they can get him at No. 14, nothing should stop them unless a team gets him before then.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper recently did a mock draft and had him going to the Buffalo Bills with the No. 25 pick, and he spoke highly about the receiver.
“He routinely got the better of defenders in the red zone over the past two seasons, using his frame to snag 19 receiving touchdowns. He was dependable in the big slot role, too, with two drops on 189 targets since 2024. The Bills have 15 attributed drops this season, which is tied for 17th in the NFL,” Kiper wrote.
It also would not be a surprise to see the Ravens go defense with the No. 14 pick, more specifically, a pass rusher. They were able to sign Trey Hendrickson during free agency, but they could use some help on the other side of him. At the same time, wide receiver is a position they should prioritize early in the draft, even if it’s not in the first round.
If the Ravens can get Lamar Jackson another option to pass the ball to, their offense could be even more explosive.
