Vacherot Wins Shanghai Masters Title Over Rinderknech

Valentin Vacherot stunned the tennis world on Sunday at the Rolex Shanghai Masters in Shanghai, China, winning his first-ever title over his cousin Arthur Rinderknech.
Recording a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 scoreline, Vacherot entered the event ranked No. 204 in the world and will now be ranked No. 40 in the world.
Defeating seeded players Alexander Bublik, Tomas Machac, Tallon Griekspoor, Holger Rune and Novak Djokovic in succession, Vacherot had only played 21 matches on Tour prior to entering Shanghai.
Rinderknech, who was playing in his second career final, will be ranked No. 28 in the world on Monday. The 30-year-old has collected victories over Alexander Zverev, Casper Ruud, Ben Shelton, Daniil Medvedev, and Felix Auger-Aliassime in 2025.
Gauff Wins Wuhan
Two-time Major winner Coco Gauff captured the title in Wuhan, China on Sunday, defeating compatriot Jessica Pegula 6-4, 7-5.
Hitting four aces and winning 63 percent of her first serve points, Gauff won her second title of the year, and 11th of her career.
Improving to 5-2 against Pegula in lifetime meetings, Gauff will remain at No. 3 in the world on Monday.
Pegula, who was in search of her fourth title of 2025, will move up to No. 5 in the world when the latest rankings are released. Pegula has won nine career titles.
