Mike Tomlin and Aaron Rodgers looked dejected as they walked off the field side by side after the Pittsburgh Steelers got embarrassed by the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.
Rodgers had a forgettable outing, going 16-of-31 for 161 yards. His only touchdown pass came with 2:57 left in the fourth quarter, with the outcome already settled. He was intercepted twice and sacked three times.
It was his worst game for the Steelers since joining the team in the offseason on a one-year deal worth $13.6 million.
In the postgame conference, Tomlin was asked to assess the 41-year-old Rodgers’ performance. The veteran coach stared at the reporter for a few seconds before giving an agitated response.
“How would you? Next question,” said Tomlin, as shown in the video posted by ESPN’s Brooke Pryor.

The Steelers had no answer for the Chargers, who played exceptionally on both sides of the ball for 60 minutes. Jaylen Warren tried to wake up Pittsburgh with an insane highlight in the third quarter, but to no avail.
The Steelers fell to 5-4, including dropping three of their last four assignments.
Rodgers, a four-time MVP, had been playing well before facing the Chargers, tallying 1,531 passing yards for 16 touchdowns and only five interceptions.
Fans have called out the 53-year-old Tomlin for his questionable decisions, with some urging the front office to replace him to save the season.
The Steelers finished with a 10-7 record in each of the past two years, getting eliminated in the Wild Card of the playoffs in both campaigns.
