The Pittsburgh Steelers infamously tried to take Makai Lemon with their first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft before having him stolen from their grasp and ending up with guard Max Iheanachor with the No. 21 pick. That does not mean the city is giving him any less love, as the newest member of the team opened Day Two with Steelers super fans Wiz Khalifa and Bret Michaels.
One day after hearing his name called in front of the Pittsburgh faithful, Iheanachor got fans ready for Day Two by hyping the crowd on stage with Khalifa and Michaels. The 22-year-old wore a No. 71 Steelers jersey and received a big pop from the home crowd, as ESPN’s Brooke Pryor caught on video.

Khalifa and Michaels have long been two of the Steelers’ biggest celebrity fans. Michaels, a native of Butler, Pennsylvania, grew up a Pittsburgh fan, and Khalifa’s 2010 hit “Black and Yellow” is often referenced as the team’s unofficial theme song.
The trio did not have to do much to encourage the crowd, which was already prepared to rock Acrisure Stadium. Pittsburgh set the record for the most-attended first round in NFL Draft history and kept that same energy on Friday.
Iheanachor was the Steelers’ lone first-round pick, but he was joined by Alabama receiver Germie Bernard in the second round. Pittsburgh traded up with the Indianapolis Colts to take Bernard at No. 47 after missing out on Lemon on Day One.
With two offensive players taken with their first pair of picks, the Steelers are clearly setting a tone ahead of Mike McCarthy’s inaugural season. However, they remain in the dark regarding Aaron Rodgers’ potential return status.
