Pro Honda To Take Over From Idemitsu As LCR Honda Sponsor

The LCR Honda team has found a title sponsor for Diogo Moreira’s side of the garage. From 2026, Pro Honda, the oil and lubricants arm of Honda, will take over as sponsor of one half of the LCR garage. Pro Honda has previously been involved with Honda’s MotoGP program sponsoring HRC wildcards Stefan Bradl in 2024 and Aleix Espargaro and Takaaki Nakagami in 2025.

Pro Honda replaces Idemitsu, the Japanese oil and chemicals giant, on the second LCR Honda bike. Idemitsu is focused mainly on markets in Southeast Asia, and had previously backed Asian riders in MotoGP. With the departure of Somkiat Chantra to make way for the Brazilian Moreira, there was no reason for Idemitsu to continue in the premier class. Idemitsu are instead focusing on the Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup, the Asian part of Dorna’s Road To MotoGP talent development program. The sponsorship of the Honda Team Asia Moto2 and Moto3 teams will continue.
