Odell Beckham Jr. working out for Giants after flag football dominance

As fans have been speculating about a reunion between the New York Giants and Odell Beckham Jr., the latest news could signal that to be a realistic resolution. While the Giants and Beckham reunion has been teased, the wide receiver is not taking steps to get back on the field with the team’s resources, especially after showing out at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in late March.

According to Ryan Dunleavy and later by Ian Rapoport, Beckham is conducting a “physical” and working out for his former team.

“NEWS: Odell Beckham Jr is in Giants building for a physical today, per league source,” Dunleavy wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“Former Giants star WR Odell Beckham Jr worked out for his old team today, per me and [Mike Garafolo]. A reunion seems possible,” Rapoport wrote on X.

This news comes after New York head coach John Harbaugh and Beckham were seen chatting it up with one another during the NFL’s annual owners meeting, per Dan Duggan.

John Harbaugh spoke on the Giants bringing back Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham had been one of the more exciting players for the Giants during his stint, starting when he was drafted in 2014 until 2019, when he would go to the Cleveland Browns. Fast forward now to 2026, and there is a chance he could be catching passes from Jaxson Dart, as Harbaugh spoke about the possibility of signing Beckham.

“The obvious answer would be that you look at every option. If Odell is an option, then we’ll be looking at it for sure,” Harbaugh said on March 30, via SNY. “He and I do talk, we do text. We’ve maintained a really great relationship. He’s one of my very favorite people in the world, so it’s not like you don’t talk to guys about things like that. Certainly, we have.”

At any rate, it remains to be seen when, or if, New York ends up signing Beckham back to the team as the team is looking to improve after finishing with a 4-13 record.
