NFL Draft rumors: The 3 teams getting trade calls for Round 2 picks

Surprising trades have already happened in the 2026 NFL Draft. And one team was front and center in the trade mix. But here are the three teams getting trade calls for Round 2 picks, according to a post on X by Jordan Schultz.

“Sources: The #49ers, #Cardinals, and #Bills have received calls about potential trades at the top of Round 2 tonight, setting up what could be a busy trade night. It makes sense as Round 1 ended with five of the final seven picks being traded.”

So, will there be a lot of movement in Round 2? It may come down to whether teams are willing to part with 2027 capital. That would surely move the needle in this draft because next year is expected to be loaded.

What will Round 2 of the NFL Draft look like?

It starts with the San Francisco 49ers at No. 33. And the 49ers have already made a draft trade. They moved out of Round 1, and might be willing to move again.

If they stand pat, Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren might be in their sights, according to ESPN.

“The chance to take the player I originally predicted for them is still here as McNeil-Warren slips to Round 2,” Matt Miller wrote. “After watching rival Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori neutralize offenses, former safety and 49ers general manager John Lynch can draft his own version.”

The 49ers have two Round 2 picks, also selecting at 58. So it might not make sense for them to move off of either spot. That’s especially true since they have four fourth-round picks. They already have depth.

A receiver might be the 49ers’ pick at No. 58. Perhaps Antonio Williams.

“San Francisco added Mike Evans in free agency,” Miller wrote. “And they like Ricky Pearsall as a deep threat. But an intermediate option from the slot is needed. Williams is a precise route runner with consistent hands and yards-after-catch ability.”

It may actually be more likely that the Bills or Cardinals make a deal. If they stay, Miller likes QB Carson. Beck to the Cardinals and wide receiver Denzel Boston to the Bills.
