The New England Patriots will be an exciting team to watch during the 2026 NFL Draft. New England will look to add more talent around QB Drake Maye in the hopes of getting back to the Super Bowl in 2026. But some Patriots fans and players may be more excited about a move that could happen after the draft.
Patriots safety Kevin Byard III made his pitch for Eagles WR A.J. Brown to come to New England during a recent interview.
“First of all he’s a dog, he’s a great teammate,” Byard said about Brown on CBS on Wednesday. “I’ve literally watched him grow as a player and a person. He’s a phenomenal guy, he’s a family man. We actually trained together in Nashville. So I’m going to be the first one to say A.J. I would love for you to come join us in New England.”
Byard and Brown played together on the Titans from 2019-21. They also reunited in 2023 when Byard was traded to Philadelphia for the remainder of the 2023 season. He would love to team up with Brown once again in New England.
Byard looked straight at the camera and made his pitch incredibly clear.
“A.J. Brown, come on to New England buddy,” Byard concluded.
Rumors about the Patriots trading for Brown have followed the team for the past several weeks. But insider have cautioned that any potential Brown trade may have to wait until June for salary cap purposes.
The Patriots have a huge need at wide receiver, with newcomer Romeo Doubs currently at the top of the depth chart.
Hopefully Byard gets his wish and reunites with Brown later this summer.
