Jeremiyah Love’s message to Cardinals will fire fans up

As the Arizona Cardinals take running back Jeremiyah Love with the third overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, there’s no denying a level of excitement from fans as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish star was one of the best players in the class. With Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort taking Love with the selection, the star himself would send a message to the team on what he’s bringing to Arizona.

Consequently, Love spoke to Zach Gershman after being selected and was asked what he was taking with him to his new home, responding with an ironic poke at his name.

“Man, love, baby. Love. I’m bringing the love to Arizona,” Love said. “You know, I’m ready to work. I’ve been going through this whole process just dreaming of the day I can settle down to the place and having to be a beautiful place like Arizona, I’m ready to settle down and just put in the work to accomplish something great in Arizona.”

“I’m bringing the love to Arizona. I’m ready to work.”

Jeremiyah Love had an “inkling” he would be taken by the Cardinals

The Cardinals saw the immense talent in Love, who rushed for a monstrous 1,372 yards to go along with 18 touchdowns, as his explosive nature made him one of the more exciting running back prospects in a while. Love would even say how going to Arizona isn’t a huge surprise, revealing he spoke to Ossenfort last week.

“I kind of had an inkling that I was going to go to Arizona a week ago, I had a great dialogue with GM Monti [Ossenfort] and, man, I just knew it. After David Bailey got picked, I was just ready, you know, I was ready to go. I was already starting to hug my mom and dad. And, like I said, I’m blessed to be here, and I’m ready to take advantage of this golden opportunity in Arizona,” Love said.

Subsequently, Love said that fans can expect to see an “electric” player, one that “can score at any point in the game. At any rate, that is for sure needed for a Cardinals team that lacked explosive offense.
