Indiana Fever star—and new Arby’s spokeswoman—Sophie Cunningham is the latest professional athlete to dip her toe into the podcasting waters, debuting her new program “Show Me Something” on Wednesday. The show is backed by Colin Cowherd’s The Volume and is co-hosted by Bravo reality star and former Complex producer West Wilson, who grew up with Cunningham in Missouri (which is commonly referred to as the “Show Me State”).
“We’re definitely going to hit on the WNBA, a huge topic in sports right now, and then Bravo, clearly, but pop culture, food, fashion, travel, let’s spread this thing wide open because we really do talk about anything,” Cunningham said in an interview with Natasha Dye of People. “It’ll be cool that people can see our humor, what we’re actually like and, it’s coming from us and not from other people perceiving or portraying what they think we are.”
Cunningham, who turns 29 later this month, is no stranger to media, having previously served as an analyst for Phoenix Suns games during her time with their sister organization, the Phoenix Mercury. She originally entered the WNBA as a second-round pick of the Mercury’s after a sterling career at the University of Missouri.
Over six years in Phoenix, Cunningham developed a reputation for physical play and her profile has only increased since joining the Fever last offseason. Cunningham has developed a strong rapport with Fever franchise face Caitlin Clark and has garnered a new identity as an enforcer when opponents target Clark and other teammates with physical defense.
Sophie Cunningham says she gets pissed when people say Caitlin Clark isn’t the face of the WNBA:
“It really pisses me off when people say she isn’t the face of the league. You’re dumb as sh*t, you’re literally dumb as f*ck”

Cunningham has since played that role into several endorsement deals, including Adidas, Arby’s, and Ring. She’s averaging 7.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and a steal in her debut season in Indianapolis, which has produced a victory in the Commissioner’s Cup in-season competition.
Clark, in fact, was the subject of one of Cunningham’s first impassioned rants on the program, making her teammate’s case as the face of the WNBA, which has enjoyed an undeniable surge in popularity since her professional arrival last season.
“There’s really good, well-known people in our league. I’m not discrediting them. We have a lot of badasses in our league. Hell yeah to that,” Cunningham said. “I’m all for that. But when people try to argue that she’s not the face of our league or our league would be where we’re at without her, you’re dumb as s***.”
Wilson is best known for appearing in the last three seasons of the Bravo series “Summer House,” which document the activities of a group of summer home dwellers in the Long Island town of Southampton. Wilson has also appeared on several episodes of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” as well as NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football.”
With her podcasting debut recorded, Cunningham will return to action with the Fever on Friday when they visit Arlington to face the Dallas Wings (7:30 p.m. ET, Ion).
