Giants’ Francis Mauigoa tells Jaxson Dart he’ll ‘die about this s**t’

Francis Mauigoa is willing to give it his all for Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants. Even his life.

Well, not literally, but after the Giants selected the former Miami Hurricanes offensive tackle, Mauigoa sent a clear message to New York quarterback Dart.

“I’ll die about this s**t, man,” Mauigoa said, via Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

Mauigoa was perhaps just overcome with emotions after finally realizing his NFL dreams. In any case, he will now be counted upon by New York as part of the team’s protection unit for Dart, who showed plenty of promise under center during his rookie season in 2025.

Meanwhile, Mauigoa’s NSFW statement has also drawn a lot of reactions from fans on social media.

“That’s awesome. True Samoan Warrior,” a fan said.

“I love this level of extra,” a social media user on X shared.

“He’ll fit right in w Skatt & Dart! ,” another one commented.

“That’s not talk… that’s mentality. You protect your QB like that, you build something real,” a different fan said.

“That raw loyalty from Mauigoa sets a tone. Giants finally giving Dart a protector who sounds ready to fight. Will this edge and size actually keep him upright or just add more hype?” another comment read.

Dart was sacked a total of 35 times in 2025 and went through multiple concussion tests, underscoring the need for a better protection unit in front of him. He may have to tone down on his aggressive style, but in any case, the Giants are hoping that the 6-foot-5, 329-pound Mauigoa will turn out to be an excellent pick.

Before Mauigoa, the Giants selected Ohio State Buckeyes linebacker Arvell Reese at the  No. 5 spot.
