While many casual observers cannot comprehend the current state of NBA salaries, the added cash influx has allowed players to do far more for their respective communities than they have in the past. Many players on your favorite team give back to the city they play in, the city they’re from, the college town they played in, or all of the above. Suns star Dillon Brooks did a little of the first two, culminating with the Dillon Brooks Invitational.

Held at gorgeous Inspire Courts just outside of Phoenix, the Dillon Brooks Invitational was running at the same time as Anthony Ray’s Arizona Preps Fall Showcase, blending local high schools with prep schools. OFF SZN Hoops was outstanding by offering fans and scouts alike a list of the top players to watch, making it an exceptionally easy event to evaluate.
Given the massive influx of Canadians who have made the journey to Phoenix, the event also provided a way for Brooks to give back to both those from his homeland up north and locals in the Valley. Fellow Phoenix legends Jerryd Bayless and Koa Peat were also in the building and with games livestreamed via Tanager Sports, it gave players some quality game film before the live signing period begins.
Here’s a look at the top overall performers that we saw from the 2026 Dillon Brooks Invitational:

Jalen White, 6’7″, SF, OTE City Reapers, 2027
An immensely talented player who has been all over the board rankings-wise, Jalen White showed the total package at the Dillon Brooks. The two-way wing showed his potential on the defensive end, finished through contact with his strong frame, and beat defenders on the baseline with his explosive drives.
Making his college decision on October 29th, White has narrowed his list to Kansas, Mississippi State, and Washington where the winner will get a versatile forward who is just scratching the surface.
Viktor Babic, 6’7″, SF, Perry HS (Ariz.), 2028
Playing against a team loaded with DI talent, Viktor Babic truly showed that he belonged and was one of the more dynamic players. The lefty showed off his smooth outside jump shot, created separation off of the bounce, and made a number of explosive straight-line drives to the rim.
Babic certainly has the talent to follow in the footsteps of Koa Peat and Bruce Branch as the next big-time prospect out of Arizona power Perry.
Kur Lual, 6’7″, SF, AZ Compass Prep (Ariz.), 2028
One of the breakout performers from the 2026 Pangos All-American Camp, Kur Lual showed his immense upside at the Dillon Brooks. The lanky swingman showed that he could shoot it well with his feet set, is smooth attacking the baseline, and played stronger than his slender frame suggests. On Tuesday, Lual announced that he will be transferring to Bella Vista Prep for the remainder of his junior campaign.
Paul Osaruyi, 6’10”, C, OTE City Reapers (Ariz.), 2027
One of the better centers in the nation, Paul Osaruyi showed the type of impact that he can have at the Dillon Brooks. The powerful big man looked like he was playing on a 9-foot rim with his explosive leaping ability, was a constant lob threat, and was reliable shooting the ball from mid-range. Osaruyi has been battling a shoulder injury, but certainly looked the part of a future McDonald’s All-American in this preseason event.
Terrance Byrd, 6’7″, SF/PF, Sandra Day O’Connor (Ariz.), 2028
In what was his last event at Sandra Day O’Connor, Terrance Byrd showed the inside/out game that made him one of the hotter names in the New Balance P32. The versatile forward really exploits mismatches with his ability to go to work facing up, is a threat on the glass, and is near automatic with his pull-up jumper. Since the event concluded, Terrance has made the move to AZ Compass Prep and will be running with Max Levels Elite on the AAU circuit.
