Alejandro Garnacho has dropped a hint over his future on Instagram, once more indicating that his future lies away from Manchester United and suggesting he could soon sign for Chelsea.

The Argentina international has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as his relationship with head coach Ruben Amorim continues to collapse. Fabrizio Romano has reported that he has already agreed on personal terms with Chelsea.

He had a thorny relationship with the Man Utd boss for months, having been surprisingly left out of the December derby with Manchester City along with Marcus Rashford.

Although he was welcomed back into the team, unlike Rashford, who has been loaned to Barcelona for the season, Garnacho has since angered his manager further.

Following the Europa League final, his brother took to social media to attack the manager for dropping the former Atletico Madrid youth.

Then, while on holiday, Garnacho posted an image of himself in an Aston Villa kit with Rashford’s name on the back. This was widely taken as a dig at Amorim.

Now the 21-year-old’s Instagram account has again proven a clue towards the winger’s future. Garnacho has posted an image of himself in the gym with an hourglass.

With transfer rumours flying, this has been widely interpreted as a sign that he will soon leave Man Utd, with Chelsea his likely destination.

Garnacho to Chelsea: What’s causing the delay?

The deal could have been held up by the fact that Chelsea need to make sales before they can sign any other players – a process that Man Utd also find themselves in.

The Blues are progressing to offload numerous stars, with Christopher Nkunku now being linked with RB Leipzig as part of a package that could see Xavi Simons move to Stamford Bridge. It is unclear as yet how this might affect a deal with Man Utd and Garnacho.

Under contract until 2028, Garnacho has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €60m. It has been reported that Man Utd are seeking a fee of around €57.5m for the South American.
