Pangos All East Frosh/Soph Camp: Sophomores Shine

The Pangos Frosh/Soph circuit has officially come and gone. With stops in Long Beach, Dallas, and Chicago, the 2026 tour ended with a fourth stop in the Philadelphia area.  Held in Wilmington, Delaware at the NBN Sports Academy, it was the perfect central location to bring players from all over the East Coast.  In fact, the 2026 rendition offered players from 15 different states and three different countries amongst the 180-plus campers.

Pangos founder Dinos Trigonis, Pangos All-American Camp Co-Director Leslie Strauss, and the rest of their staff put together an event that was perhaps the most ideal for media and scouts alike. Accurate rosters with contact information were provided, headshots of every single player were sent out on the first night of the camp, and all games were live streamed reliably on BallerTV.  HoopsFlix provided highlights for individual campers, culminating in an outstanding event.

Loaded with positional size, the sophomore class brought forth a number of super talented players that ranged from the shooting guard to the face-up power forward slot.  Here were the six top sophomores that I saw from the 2026 Pangos All East Frosh/Soph Camp:

Chance Finlayson, 6’7, SF/PF, St. Georges HS (R.I.), 2029

Able to play either forward position, Chance Finlayson produced at a rate as high as anyone at Pangos All East Frosh/Soph.The powerfully built face-up forward thrived in isolation situations, was automatic with his pull-up jumper, and utilized his athleticism to put countless players on posters throughout the weekend.  Chance is the best sophomore that Rhode Island has to offer and high majors noticed with Stanford and Georgetown putting scholarships on the table in the past month.

2026 @FCPPangos All-East Frosh/Soph Camp Notes: 6-7 2029 Chance Finlayson (St. Georges/Middletown RI) is a well-built & nimble PF with plenty of scoring ability. Had a 30 point outburst in his 1st camp game here @NBNMagazine @BallerTV @ExpressionsBall https://t.co/ZmoQQ7fFA8

KJ Hamilton, 6’7, SF/PF, Life Center Academy (N.J.), 2029

The most athletic swingman that the event had to offer, KJ Hamilton was in attack mode throughout the entire event to get him right there in the camp MVP conversation. The super bouncy sophomore was arguably the best finisher in transition, showed promise shooting the ball with his feet set, and created tons of turnovers defensively. Add in the fact that he brings infectious energy and you see why there’s a rapidly growing buzz surrounding this sophomore.

Morell “Mori” Toney, 6’6, SG, Quality Academy (N.Y.), 2029

A guard with size, “Mori” Toney was a jack of all trades at Pangos All-East. The New York Rens guard proved that he could really facilitate for others with his exceptional court vision, made nice reads out of ball screens, and defended virtually every position for stretches in Wilmington. All of the tools are there for Toney to develop into a high major prospect, especially as his jump shot gets more consistent.

Reese Nicol, 6’6, SF, Ellington HS (Conn.), 2029

One of the breakout Performers from the event, Reese Nicol had some of the biggest statistical games at Pangos. The smooth swingman showed his pop vertically as a shot blocker, finished with creativity at the rim, and can really shoot it from deep.  Nichol picked up his first two D1 offers in the past month and will be adding plenty more as time goes on.

Jeremiah Williams, 6’6, SF, Walter Johnson HS (Md.), 2029

The son of longtime NBA power forward Jerome “JYD” Williams is quickly carving out his own legacy, as seen with his play at Pangos All-East He has the prototypical physical profile for a young wing, is a tough slasher when he starts going downhill, and doesn’t look like he’s anywhere near done growing. Coming off of an outstanding summer with Boo Williams, Jeremiah is one of the more intriguing sophomores in the DMV.

Will Erickson, 6’8, SF/PF, Gardner (Mass.), 2029

A player who I was not familiar with, Will Erickson immediately emerged at Pangos. The face-up forward started things off right with a huge poster dunk in the drills, put his strong frame to work by finishing through contact, and rebounded the ball at a high rate from either forward spot. The versatility, athleticism, and toughness that Erickson offer make him one to watch in the Northeast.
