Ravens owner admits draft ‘s**t is hard’ after second-guessing pick he made with GM’s son

Of the 11 draft picks the Baltimore Ravens made in 2026 NFL Draft, owner Steve Bisciotti had a special hand in one of them. He personally picked running back Adam Randall with the No. 174 selection in the fifth round.

Bisciotti worked closely with general manager Eric DeCosta’s son Jackson. But for all their preparation, the Ravens owner felt the heat once Baltimore was actually on the clock, via Michael Silver of The Athletic.

“In the draft room, Bisciotti looked nervous as the pick approached, worried another team — or even his own GM — might snag Randall,” Silver wrote. “‘I don’t know that he really had a backup plan,’” DeCosta said Sunday, laughing. He didn’t need one, but once the Ravens were on the clock, Bisciotti became visibly stressed as he second-guessed his decision.”

“This s— is hard,” he admitted, before officially deciding on Randall as his choice.

With Bisciotti’s selection, he gave the Ravens an intriguing offensive weapon in Randall. He came to Clemson as a wide receiver before switching to running back as a senior season. He ended his time with the Tigers running for 814 yards and 10 touchdowns on 168 carries. Randall added a career-high 36 receptions for 254 yards and three touchdowns.

As long as Derrick Henry is with Baltimore, he will be the top dog in the running back room. However, Randall’s pass catching abilities give him another way to get onto the field. He’ll have an uphill battle for playing time as a rookie. But his versatility could make him an underrated threat for the Ravens.

Randall will at the very least have Bisciotti rooting for him.
