Cardinals fans will love Jeremiyah Love’s commitment to pass protection

10 years from now, we may look back and say that running back Jeremiyah Love was the best player in the 2026 NFL Draft. There is nothing that this playmaker can’t do, and the coaches on the Cardinals are going to love every word head in his introductory press conference.

During his press conference, Love was asked about pass protection, and he explained why it is the most important part of his game.

#Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love says pass protection is the most important part of his game:

“I like pass protection because I get to hit people. People always hitting me! Whenever I get to deliver a blow, I’m going take pride in that and do it to the best of my ability to try to… pic.twitter.com/nMu2p7Wsex

“Pass protection is the most important part of my game,” Love said. “That is really the only thing I train on when I am at practice. You know, footwork is natural; we do tune-ups, but pass protection is what we really focused on.”

“I like pass protection because I get to hit people. People always hitting me! Whenever I get to deliver a blow, I’m going take pride in that and do it to the best of my ability to try to knock your head off.”

Newly signed head coach, Mike LeFleur, hit a home run with his first draft selection. This is a player who will become a household name quickly in Phoenix. Out goes the constant cycle of running backs, and in comes a potential superstar. Love can be a 3-down back with his ability to protect the QB. It’s not every day you see a running back prefer to hit someone over carrying the rock.

Here is what Love’s first message to Arizona was when he first got drafted on Thursday night.

“Man, love, baby. Love. I’m bringing the love to Arizona,” Love said. “You know, I’m ready to work. I’ve been going through this whole process just dreaming of the day I can settle down to the place and having to be a beautiful place like Arizona, I’m ready to settle down and just put in the work to accomplish something great in Arizona.”
