Micah Parsons takes shot at Cowboys during Malik Nabers draft rant

Though All-Pro defensive end Micah Parsons is with the Green Bay Packers, he still appears to harbor ill will towards the Dallas Cowboys. On Thursday, during the 2026 NFL Draft, Parsons let his feelings be known alongside New York Giants WR Malik Nabers during a live draft show for Bleacher Report, per Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

Nabers laid out a scenario in which his team drafted another WR as the No. 5 pick. He says the organization would invest heavily in the draft pick at his expense as the top WR. Then, when he’s in his third year, the Giants would forgo giving Nabers a contract.

“You’re gonna pay him more than me and I’m your #1 WR. When he’s in Year 3 and I need a contract… you gonna just trade Malik” Nabers said.

Parsons chimed in, referencing his situation with the Cowboys.

“Welcome to my world” he said.

In March 2025, Parsons’ relationship with the Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones began to deteriorate. A meeting with Jones went sour, and soon Parsons let his agent handle negotiations for a long-term deal.

Tensions heightened on both sides as negotiations stalled. Parsons believed he was worthy of a long-term deal with the Cowboys. Soon thereafter, he had requested a trade.

In August 2025, Parsons was traded from the Cowboys to the Packers in exchange for two 2026 and 2027 first-round picks and DL Kenny Clark.

On Thursday, the Cowboys ended up trading their No.20 pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for pass rusher Malachi Lawrence.
