The Tennessee Titans are in an interest spot at the top of the 2026 NFL Draft. Tennessee is well positioned to grab a blue chip player at fourth overall, but it is still unclear who that player will be. One NFL insider explained why he is more confident in one prospect leading up to the draft.
Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports shared some intel on the top picks in the draft on Thursday. He explained why he is now confident in Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love being the pick for the Titans.
“Tennessee’s selection is obviously dependent on what the Cardinals do. For weeks I thought the Titans would eschew a running back in favor of a defensive player for head coach Robert Saleh. I am not as convinced today,” Jones wrote. “If GM Mike Borgonzi feels Love can make life easier for Cam Ward in Year 2, I think he doesn’t care too much about the guaranteed money going to a running back. Freaky Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles cannot be ruled out here, of course.”
Love has steadily risen up draft boards throughout the pre-draft process. The Titans looked like the obvious landing spot for Love for a time, but that has changed over the past few days.
Rumors connecting Love to the Cardinals at third overall have dominated headlines in the days leading up to the draft. That makes it unclear if Love will even be available for Tennessee.
Fortunately, the Titans have options in case those rumors are true.
Tennessee could instead opt for Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles, a wide receiver, or another elite defensive prospect.
It will be exciting to see who Tennessee ends up picking in the first round on Thursday night.
