Cowboys 2026 NFL Mock Draft for all 8 picks

The Dallas Cowboys are one team that could make a splash during the 2026 NFL Draft. Dallas enters the draft with two first-round picks and significant needs on the defensive side of the ball. The Cowboys need to nail their picks this year if they want to build a Super Bowl contender around Dak Prescott before it is too late.

Here is a complete 2026 Cowboys mock draft with Dallas sticking and picking at all eight picks.

Jerry Jones has hinted that Dallas is open to trading around the draft board. But in this mock draft, there will be no trades.

Round 1, Pick 12: CB Jermod McCoy, Tennessee

Dallas would be wise to continue investing in the cornerback position. The Cowboys have a solid group of players with Shavon Revel Jr., DaRon Bland, Cobie Durant, and Reedy Steward.

That’s what makes it so tempting for Dallas to add a cornerback with true lockdown potential.

McCoy is quite the athlete, which helps him stick to wide receivers like glue. He projects as a starting outside cornerback who even higher upside.

The red flag for McCoy is his 2025 ACL injury that robbed him of his final season at Tennessee. But McCoy crushed his pro day on March 31st which suggests his health might not hold him back during his rookie season.

If this pick hits, it would completely change Dallas’ woeful defense into a legitimate strength.

Round 1, Pick 20: LB CJ Allen, Georgia

The Cowboys have a massive need at inside linebacker.

DeMarvion Overshown is their best option headed into 2026. However, Overshown’s injury history should make Dallas nervous to rely on him too heavily.

Allen is a classic middle linebacker who is capable of wearing the “green dot” for a defense. He has team captain written all over him, plus a lot of athletic traits that NFL coaches staffs should appreciate.

Some might argue that the 20th overall pick is a reach for someone like Allen who does not make a lot of big plays. That is a fair criticism, but Dallas simply has too big of a need at this position to ignore.

But make no mistake, the Cowboys defense would be a lot better in 2026 with someone like Allen patrolling the middle of the field.

Round 3, Pick 92: EDGE LT Overton, Alabama

Overton is a bit of a tweener, but he could still have a place on Dallas’ defense.

Overton stands tall at 6-foot-3, 274 pounds. He is a powerful defensive lineman who is not often pushed off his spot thanks to his excellent leverage. Unfortunately, his lack of speed off the edge could be a big problem in the NFL.

In a perfect world, the Cowboys would grab a pass rusher with this pick. But Overton could provide value as an edge defender on early downs and an interior rusher on passing downs.

This pick may not feel exciting to Cowboys fans, but it would be a solid move nonetheless.

Round 4, Pick 112: WR De’Zhaun Stribling, Mississippi

Stribling boasts a great mixture of size and acceleration that could help him become a deep threat in the NFL.

He spent two years each at Washington State and Oklahoma State before transferring to Mississippi in 2025. Stribling immediately caught on in Mississippi, hauling in 55 receptions for 811 receiving yards and six touchdowns last season.

The Cowboys don’t have a pressing need at wide receiver. But Stribling could immediately contribute as a role player and could develop into a long-term WR3 behind CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.

Grabbing Stribling in the fourth round is excellent value.

Round 5, Pick 152: RB Nicholas Singleton, Penn State

Singleton has an elite blend of size, speed, and explosiveness. But he falls all the way to the fifth round because of a lack of consistency. His falloff from the 2024 season is enough to give most scouts pause.

But Singleton should still find his place on an NFL roster. He just won’t become a team’s workhorse running back.

The Cowboys need some depth behind Javonte Williams. Malik Davis and Jaydon Blue have not shown enough to stop Dallas from adding another young running back.

Perhaps Singleton could win a roster spot as a kick returner and third-down back.

Round 5, Pick 177: DT Cole Brevard, Texas

The Cowboys need to add some beef on the interior of their defensive line. Dallas already has players who can offer interior pressure in Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark. That could make a run-stuffing nose tackle a priority in the late rounds.

Brevard has the right build for that job at 6-foot-3, 346 pounds. Advanced metrics suggest he could be a diamond in the rough if used the right way. In fact, PFF’s Josh Liskiewitz praised him as a capable run defender during a mock draft back in January.

“He graded positively on 18.1% of run plays at Texas last season, and while his pass-rush skills still need development, his ability to occupy blockers inside makes him an intriguing value option at this stage of the draft,” Liskiewitz wrote.

He would even be a familiar face to Longhorns fans who also root for the Cowboys.

Round 5, Pick 180: LB Aiden Fisher, Indiana

Fisher’s actual landing spot could vary a great deal in real life.

There’s a lot of like about Fisher as a MIKE linebacker prospect. He boasts a strong football IQ and has excellent instincts. Fisher is also praised by former teammates and coaches as an excellent leader, something NFL teams often covet in MIKE linebackers.

The issue with Fisher is his speed. He simply does not look fast enough to hold up in coverage, which limits him to run defense duties.

If the Cowboys do draft Fisher, it will be with a limited defensive role in mind. Plus the assumption that he becomes a special teams ace.

Round 7, Pick 218: TE Oscar Delp, Georgia

Scouts seem split on where exactly Delp will go off the board.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein projects Delp as a third- or fourth-round pick. However, other scouts simply view him as a Day 3 guy.

If Delp does tumble all the way to the seventh round, the Cowboys should scoop him up.

Delp is a tenacious run defender who could eventually become a three-down starter if he becomes a more consistent receiver. He won’t push Jake Ferguson for his job anytime soon. However, he would give Dallas another tight end who can threaten opposing defenses as both a receiver and blocker.

This is an easy pick for Dallas at the end of their draft.
