UConn Star Azzi Fudd Signs Deal With Major Basketball Brand

With another potential championship run looming, Azzi Fudd is the latest UConn basketball star to team up with the Jordan Brand.

For the first time since “Space Jam,” Jordan is teaming up with a Fudd—one that’s proven to be an infinitely better shooter than the rabbit-hunting Looney Tune.

The Jordan Brand has announced the addition of University of Connecticut guard Azzi Fudd to its expansive lineup, welcoming her in a Friday statement. Fudd, a popular choice to headline the upcoming WNBA Draft, is the latest UConn alumna to don the famous Jumpman logo, joining Napheesa Collier, Maya Moore, current fellow Husky Sarah Strong, and more.

“I grew up watching what the Jumpman meant to basketball and to the culture around the game, so becoming part of the Jordan Brand family represents what I am stepping into and the greatness that I aspire to be,” Fudd said in the statement. “To wear the same logo that so many legends have worn is something I don’t take lightly.

“For me, it’s about honoring that legacy while also helping show what the next generation of women’s basketball looks like. I’m excited to keep pushing my game forward while representing Jordan Brand with pride and I hope that I continue to inspire young girls who dream of playing at the highest level.”

Can Fudd Lead UConn to Back-to-Back NCAA Titles?

Fudd is coming to the end of her fifth and final season in Storrs, one that ended with a perfect 31-0 regular season record. Fresh off a national championship run that yielded Most Outstanding Player honors, Fudd has put up averages of 17.9 points and 2.5 steals in 31 appearances this season as the Huskies seek back-to-back national titles for the first time since their four-year run between 2013 and 2016.

Such an illustrious college career has allowed the Virginia native to capitalize on numerous NIL opportunities. Previous partnerships include BioSteel, Bose, Buick, Celsius, Nerf, and Raising Cane’s. Alongside Strong, Fudd was also one of 14 current college stars to sign an NIL deal with Unrivaled, the domestic three-on-three league co-founded by Collier and another UConn legend Breanna Stewart

Fudd and the Huskies return to action in the quarterfinal round of Big East Tournament play on Saturday afternoon, facing either Butler or Georgetown at Mohegan Sun Arena (12 p.m. ET, Peacock). UConn is seeking its 13th consecutive conference tournament title (combined with its final years in the American Athletic Conference), having defeated Creighton for the honor last season.

Named 2026 Big East Player of the Year, Fudd is expected to be selected as a top pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
