2026 WorldSBK Portimão Preseason Test A Washout

The first day of the second preseason test of 2026 for the WorldSBK series has been a washout. The tail of Storm Ingrid left the Algarve coast of Portugal a very wet and windy place, with only a handful of riders lapping on Wednesday, choosing instead to conserve their precious test days.

Of the riders who did turn some laps, Kawasaki’s Garrett Gerloff was fastest, but his time of 1’46.242 is nearly 7 seconds off the race lap record of 1’39.441 set by Toprak Razgatlioglu in the Superpole race at the 2025 Portimão round. Track conditions rendered the times set meaningless.
