2025 Phillip Island MotoGP PR Result: Marco Bezzecchi Destroys Lap Record

Marco Bezzecchi has smashed the existing outright lap record at Phillip Island to end the session of timed practice for the MotoGP class as fastest, and set a marker almost impossible for the rest of the field to match. On his first time attack, the Factory Aprilia rider beat Jorge Martin’s 2023 lap record by six tenths of a second. On his second, he took another tenth off his own best time. An achievement made all the more remarkable by the fact that he still has a lot of back pain from his two crashes at the two previous rounds.
