PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is close to completing his move away from the European champions, with movement taking place out of sight to push a transfer over the line.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City are all interested in signing the Italy international star, who has been forced out of PSG due to the arrival of Lucas Chevalier.

Speaking to The Transfers Podcast, Italian transfer expert Aurelio Capadli explained: “I think that Manchester City and Chelsea are two clubs who might be very interested in him and he might be very interested in going to the Premier League.

“He’s fascinated by Pep Guardiola and City, but he also likes London and Chelsea. So I think that these are two concrete possibilities for him.”

Donnarumma is close to moving to Man City, according to Sky Sports Deutschland transfer reporter Florian Plettenberg.

“Manchester City are working behind the scenes on a deal for Gianluigi Donnarumma. An agreement on the player’s side is almost done,” he tweeted.

“Pep Guardiola wants to sign him, and Man City are optimistic about completing the deal once Ederson joins Galatasaray.”

Ederson reaches Galatasaray agreement

Ederson is increasingly likely to join the Turkish side, who have already signed Victor Osimhen and Leroy Sane to their ranks this summer, opening the door for Donnarumma to move to City.

Plettenberg had earlier reported: “Negotiations between Galatasaray and Manchester City regarding Ederson have started and are progressing positively.

“Ederson is Galatasaray’s dream target. A deal is likely to happen. Super intermediary George Gardi is pushing to get it done.

“There is already a 100% verbal agreement between Galatasaray and Ederson.”

Ederson is now set to depart Man City, who have found a suitable replacement in the form of Donnarumma.
