Shelton, Raducanu Look to Reach Finals of 2025 Mubadala Citi DC Open
Saturday’s ATP Tour and WTA Results
Saturday’s semifinal action at the Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington, D.C will feature No. 4 seed Ben Shelton taking on No. 12 seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and No. 7 seed Alex de Minaur facing Corentin Moutet.
Shelton took out his good friend Frances Tiafoe in straight sets on Friday, while Davidovich Fokina needed over three hours to dispatch top seed Taylor Fritz in three sets. Davidovich Fokina finished his match with Fritz well past midnight on Friday evening.
Moutet entered the top 50 for the first time in his career after defeating former US Open winner Daniil Medvedev in three sets, and de Minaur continued his consistent season by ousting No. 14 seed Brandon Nakashima in straight sets.
On the women’s side, Emma Raducanu kept on with her resurgence on Tour by reaching the semifinals of her biggest event since winning the US Open in 2021. The popular Brit will next face Anna Kalinskaya for a place in Sunday’s final.
The day’s second semifinal will feature No. 3 seed Elena Rybakina facing Canadian Leylah Fernandez. Fernandez defeated top seed Jessica Pegula in the second round and Taylor Townsend in the quarterfinals.
Rybakina, a former Wimbledon champion, hasn’t lost a set throughout her first, two matches of the tournament.

Generali Open—Kitzbuhel, Austria
Saturday’s championship match in Kitzbuhel, Austria saw top seed Alexander Bublik win second title in as many weeks, defeating Arthur Cazaux from France 6-4, 6-3.
Needing one hour and 24 minutes to prevail, Bublik notched his seventh career title, third of the season and will move up to No. 25 in the world on Monday.
Cazaux, who was playing in his first career final, will be ranked No. 75 in the world on Monday.

Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag—Umag, Croatia
Another ATP Tour final on Saturday in Umag, Croatia will feature No. 2 seed Luciano Darderi going for his second title in as weeks. The Italian, who currently stands at No. 46 in the world, will take on Carlos Taberner from Spain.
Darderi has lost one set en-route to the finals this week, while Taberner has also dropped one set along the way to his first-career final.
The 27-year-old defeated top seed Francisco Cerundolo in the second round.
Darderi will be in search of his third title of the season and fourth overall when he takes to the court. The Italian claimed the title in Bastad, Sweden last week, and Marrakech, Morocco earlier this season during the clay court swing.

Livesport Prague Open 2025—Prague—Czech Republic
In an all Czech final on Saturday in Prague, Marie Bouzkova delighted the home-country fans with a 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 victory over top seed Linda Noskova.
Withstanding seven aces and producing four of her own, Bouzkova improved to 3-1 in career meetings over Noskova and took home her second career title.
Noskova, 20, was aiming to her win her second career title this week. She will be ranked No. 23 when the latest rankings are released.
Bouzkova will move up to No. 38 in the world on Monday.
