With more stable weather conditions on Saturday morning, the lap record was improved further by Jake Dixon, the Marc VDS rider prompt resuming control at the top of the timing screens and showing off with a very fast and consistent long run. Aron Canet left it much later to add his name to the mix at the top end but managed to close within a hundredth of a second of the leader, ahead of compatriots Dani Muñoz and Albert Arenas. After leading the way very early on, David Alonso dropped to the bottom of the top five but the rookie also displayed very solid race pace.
