2025 Balaton Park MotoGP FP1 Result: Marquez Fastest In Red-Flagged Session

Marc Marquez has stamped his authority on the first session of free practice at the Balaton Park Circuit, in a session that was marked by engine blow ups and red flags. First, the engine of Jorge Martin let go in spectacular fashion, and very shortly afterward, the Trackhouse Aprilia of Raul Fernandez went in a similar way. 

FP1 is the session where the teams put in old engines to use up the mileage on them and allow riders to get used to the track, so it is no surprise this should happen on a Friday morning.
