2025 Austria Moto2 Free Practice 2 Result: Canet Sets Record Despite Late Tumble

Despite some early challenges from Filip Salac, Dani Holgado and Barry Baltus, it was Aron Canet who further improved the all-time lap record on Saturday morning. The Spaniard led the way after the first third of the session, but things took a turn in the final third, when Canet crashed out at turn 2 and prompted a red flag to help clear the track. Although unharmed, Canet was unable to rejoin once the session was restarted, as his bike needed a considerable amount of attention, allowing a few threats from his rivals.
